Writing is my life, my passion,
my raison d'être and sine qua non.
I write a wide range of fiction: realism,
science fiction and fantasy, erotica, fairy tales, magical
realism, political drama, and poetry. I've ghostwritten
7 novels and in my own right published a
novel, novellas, short stories, and academic papers. I'm currently
working on a literary love story, The
Artist and the Mathematician, and a collection of
poetry. This is a small taster
of my writing. (If you're a writer looking for resources,
ideas, or help, check For
Writers.)

The Artist and
the Mathematician :
literary novel
"The sketch she thinks she’s seeing should
be 6000 miles away. She hasn’t been sleeping,
again, and memory deceives. She walks to the next painting,
holding her glass with exaggerated care in case she
crushes or drops it."
work in progress: literary novel

The Legend of Ia
: fantasy novella
"I am alone on the battlefield, on the great plain.
The angry sun is setting. At the foothills, my dark-cloaked
troops are ranged; they bear me up with their prayers;
they know that I am wounded, although I won. I won.
I am Ia the Accursed."
from the Tales of Nebritskia

The
Travellers :
sci-fi short story
"In the early days of travel, they held mock-funerals,
to help travellers cope with the loss, but what's the
point? Lots of people slip out of your life forever,
whether you travel or not." published in the
New Writing journal 3.2, 2006

These
things do happen :
magical-realism short story
"Certain things are simply, embarrassingly, true.
All the clichés have a foundation, somewhere
and some time, in plain objective fact."
published in Open: An erotic anthology
by Oshun Books, 2008

Barbed
Wire Rhymes :
light poetry
"I’ve said I sneer at love — I do;
I’ve said I hate you — also true.
But I’d say all with less ado,
Were I not still in love, with you."

Omega
and Alpha :
rich poetry
"Before the beginning comes an end
To everything but the need to fly
Unswerving towards the shining tie..."
used in The Artist and the Mathematician.
